Vastu Shastra is a traditional Indian design system concerned with the placement of objects and spaces within a home. Vastu accessories — pyramids, crystals, symbolic pendants and small decor pieces — are traditionally placed or worn according to this system. This guide describes common traditional practice; it isn't a claim about outcomes.
A Vastu pyramid is often placed in a specific corner of a room, while spiritual decor pieces like small brass or crystal figures are commonly kept on a desk, entryway table or puja shelf. For those new to Vastu, starting with one or two pieces in a single room is a simpler entry point than furnishing an entire home at once.
Direction matters more than exact position in most traditional Vastu guidance — a piece intended for the northeast corner, for instance, is generally placed anywhere along that direction rather than in one precise spot. A basic compass or a compass app is enough to get oriented before placing anything.
Alongside home decor, some Vastu symbols are worn as jewellery — pendants and bracelets carrying motifs like the evil eye or chakra symbol are common everyday pieces for those who want to carry the practice with them rather than keep it confined to the home.
